Following His resurrection, Jesus had several encounters with His followers that helped to affirm their faith in Him. On one of those occasions, Jesus encountered some of the disciples on the lakeshore. As He revealed Himself to them He also spoke some powerful words of restoration and commission to Peter, His disciple who only a few days earlier had denied even knowing Him. Even today, those words spoken by Jesus call us to follow Jesus with a new purpose for living.

The resurrection of Jesus is the event that changed human history and is truly worth celebrating. Following His resurrection, Jesus had several encounters with His followers that helped to affirm their faith in Him. His command to place complete faith in Him is an invitation to walk with the Living Savior through all of life. Even today, Jesus invites us to live in the power of His resurrection.
